Every summer, the Rotary Club of Port Moody hosts RIBFEST, a popular community event spanning an extended weekend. This festival draws thousands from the Tri-Cities area and beyond, attracting visitors to Rocky Point Park with enticing aromas and delicious food. RIBFEST has become the largest annual community event in Port Moody since its inception in 2015. An estimated 50,000 people attend the three-day festival, with approximately 35 to 40 percent coming from outside the city. The Rotary Club of Port Moody collaborates with several key sponsors and the three other Tri-Cities Rotary clubs to organize RIBFEST. Furthermore, the event relies on a dedicated team of 700 volunteers, making it the club’s most significant annual fundraising activity. Funds raised during RIBFEST are allocated to various projects benefiting the Port Moody community and surrounding areas.
